Paul is a multi award winning cinematographer from Manchester.

2026 marked the premiere of BIFA long listed feature film DEPARTURES directed by Eyre / Ely for Punk Spirit Films. A multi format feature shot on Digital, 35mm, 16mm and iPhone. DEPARTURES has had theatrical release in the UK, USA ,France and Germany.

2026 Also saw the release of CHATLINES - A feature film that premiered at Manchester Film Festival - Winning the coveted 'Audience Award' - It will go on to screen at SCI-FI London later in 2026

In early 2025 Paul completed Doc/Drama 'Sons of Ecstasy' for HBO MAX. Produced by TALOS films (Hakami / Hobbs) - He is working on a follow up film with Hobbs for HBO

Paul shot 'Missing you' (2nd Unit DoP) for Netflix in 2024.

 

In 2023 Paul completed all the 2nd unit photography on 'Ridley' for ITV (7million budget). He also took over main unit for 10 days. 

He shot 'Nortenos' for directing duo GRANDMAS and 'House warming' for Liam White - both were long listed for a BIFA. The latter winning at Raindance.

 

He has just completed shooting the worldwide TVC for LEGO. Shot on Arri LF with Technovision lenses in a VP environment for awesome director Coral Brown.

Paul is one of a small number of DoP’s who has shot 65mm film. Along with his extensive experience of shooting 35mm and 16mm, he is dedicated to working with film.


In 2017 Paul was invited to join the Guild of British Camera Technicians 

Paul is currently working on three features 'Inappropriate Adult' - 'SLAM' and 'Daylight Follows’ The latter being shot on 35mm film.

A full member of the Guild of British Camera Technicians (GBCT), he splits his time between Manchester and London. He specializes in high-end commercials, narrative drama, music videos, brand films and automotive projects. Most notable for Sons of Ecstasy (HBO Max), Departures (UK & US Theatrical -  BIFA long listed), Housewarming (Raindance Winner / BIFA Nominated), 'How to wash a body' Sunderland Best short winner / best cinematography at Horizons FF and commercial campaigns for LEGO (Build for Real), McLaren, and Monster Energy, habitat and Betfred. Also many branded films for Manchester United and Liverpool.
